Comcast RISE focuses on businesses hit hard by the pandemic

Recently, small businesses have been dealing with the ongoing impact of the pandemic, social unrest, and environmental events. Black-owned businesses have been some of the hardest hit. According to the National Bureau of Economic Research, between February and April 2020, the number of active Black-owned businesses declined by 41%, Latinx-owned businesses declined by 32%, and Asian-owned businesses dropped by 25%, versus just 21% for the general population. Comcast RISE was created to invest in the success of these critical businesses by providing valuable and practical support.

The Comcast RISE program will initially be available for Black business owners. Beginning November 28, 2020, all Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) business owners will be eligible to apply for Comcast RISE.

Apply today. The deadline for your small business application is November 7, 2020, with services to begin in December 2020 and continue into 2021. Additional recipients will be chosen quarterly.

The Comcast RISE program is initially geared towards the Black-owned business community. As Comcast RISE is a multi-year initiative, future services and funding will be open to other underrepresented groups.
